Job Overview:
We are hiring AZ and DZ Drivers for positions in Oshawa and Ottawa. These drivers will be responsible for the safe transportation of goods and cargo, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups. Candidates with AZ licenses will handle long-haul deliveries, while DZ drivers will manage local routes. Both positions require a strong focus on safety, excellent driving skills, and a commitment to customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate AZ or DZ vehicles safely and in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
Conduct vehicle inspections before, during, and after trips, ensuring all systems are functional.
Deliver goods to various locations within the Oshawa or Ottawa area (for DZ drivers) or across longer routes (for AZ drivers).
Ensure all cargo is securely loaded and unloaded.
Maintain accurate delivery logs and report any discrepancies or issues to the dispatcher.
Work with the dispatch team to optimize routes and schedules for timely deliveries.
Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites, ensuring goods are delivered on time and in excellent condition.
Handle any minor breakdowns or mechanical issues, escalating major problems to the shop.
Skills and Qualifications:
Valid AZ or DZ driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Minimum of 2 years of driving experience with commercial vehicles.
Ability to lift and carry goods as needed.
Strong understanding of transportation regulations, including hours-of-service rules.
Ability to work independently and follow all company safety standards.
Good communication skills and customer service orientation.
Experience with GPS and route planning software is a plus.
Physical Requirements (For All Driving Roles):
Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50 lbs).
Ability to sit for long periods and drive for extended hours.
Working Conditions:
