Employment Information

Key Responsibilities:

Perform diagnostics, inspections, and repairs on a variety of vehicles including trucks, vans, and heavy machinery.

Conduct routine maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks, etc.).

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and brakes.

Maintain detailed repair and maintenance records for vehicles.

Work with the shop manager to order parts and keep track of inventory.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.

Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and services to clients when necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience as a mechanic, ideally with commercial vehicles or heavy-duty equipment.

Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team setting.

Excellent communication skills.

Valid driver’s license; additional certification (e.g., Red Seal) is an asset.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
